So Christmas is over for another year, and 2019 is already in full swing. The start of a brand new year often brings with it the desire to get rid of the old and bring in the new…tidy things up a bit, have an early spring clean, reorganise. Which is exactly what I’ve spent my first few days of this year doing.
At the start of a new season, or in this case a new year, I always feel a subtle shift in mood and atmosphere. It’s still very much Winter I know, yet I feel that Spring is just around the corner. Okay, it’s around a very long corner admittedly…but it is on it’s way!
I’m not generally a follower of fashion, but being a lover of colour I do pay attention to current colour trends, and this year the colour forecasters at Pantone (who are the number one authority on all things ‘colour’) have chosen ‘Living Coral’ as their colour of the year.
‘Vibrant yet mellow, it is an animating and life-affirming hue that energises and enlivens with a softer edge. It welcomes and encourages lighthearted activity and symbolises our innate need for optimism and joyful pursuits. It embraces us with warmth and nourishment to provide comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment.’
I absolutely love it, and it fits in perfectly with my current ‘Spring is in the air/just round the corner’ mood!!
So with that in mind, here are some of the newbies I’ve been busy making…
New Year, New Roses…and these are in the beautiful colour of coral! Available in three sizes – Medium and Large which are perfect for bracelets or necklaces, and Baby roses which are the perfect size for earrings.
Next up are some of the new colour beaded beads I’ve been making, and yes there are some of these in coral too!
These Small Beaded Beads which measure around 10mm are the perfect size for using in all types of jewellery, including earrings because they’re so lightweight. But if you like to make smaller earrings, I may have just the thing for you…
Baby Beaded Beads…just like the small ones, but even smaller! These measure around 6-7mm so they really are teeny tiny but they’re the perfect size for more delicate designs.
As you may already know, I love little houses…so no new collection would be complete without a couple of newbies. A rustic house bead…
…and a sweet and simple wooden house bead
And finally, a new rustic bird bead
