It seems a little late to be saying ‘Happy New Year’ 11 days into January 2015 doesn’t it? For most of us the blissful holiday season is now but a distant memory, and for me new plans for Ditsy Blue are well underway.
New Year is naturally a time for a bit of quiet reflection, a perfect opportunity to look back on the past year and consider what went well, and what could have been done a bit differently.
Last year was a great year for Ditsy Blue, and I was far busier than I’d ever imagined I’d be which was amazing! But things got pretty stressful at times too…there were many occasions where I was up until silly o’clock before an Artisan Market making up extra stock or doing last minute preparation bits. I think there’s a part of me which functions better under a certain amount of pressure…but seriously, I could really do without the stress and late nights too!
So this year I need to make a few changes to the way I work. I need to write less ‘to do’ lists, I need to start preparing for Christmas in August (really???) I need to write blog posts more often and I need to put more interesting stuff on Facebook more often too (I’m not a person who feels naturally inclined to share everything with the world, so this I find particularly tricky…but I promise I’ll try!)
My (brilliant and amazing) techie/website man is busy creating a beautiful new little corner of the World Wide Web for me as we speak, and I’m busy making new jewellery and getting my first batch of Ditsy Blue Beads ready for my shop.
